General Information |
Can I make an insurance claim after an injury? |
| If you have been injured on the field, you may be eligible for insurance benefits through the League's insurance policy. The policy provides coverage when there is a bodily injury resulting from a single sports accident. These benefits are available only after any other benefits you may have through your work or your spouse's work run out. Even if you think now that you may not need the benefits, it is wise to inform the league anyway so you have access to benefits later should you need them. You must inform the Insurer within 30 days of the injury to be eligible. Information about filing a claim and a claim application form can be found on the Documents web page - under Insurance and Claims. |
I'm 46 years old. Does that mean I must play in the Over 45 Division? |
| No. Players over 45 years of age can play in either division. |
Do I have to have soccer experience to join the league? |
| No. All levels of experience, including beginners, are welcome. |
I am currently 29 years old. Can I join the league? |
| You may join the league if you will turn 30 within the season you are registering for. (Fall/Winter = September to early March / Spring/Summer = late April to mid-July) |
Can I ask to play on a specific team? |
| Yes. You may request a specific team, but there is no guarantee there will be a vacancy on the team of your choice. |
When is each soccer season? |
| Our Fall/Winter season runs September to March and our Spring/Summer season runs late April to mid-July. |
What is the time commitment? |
| Generally games are once a week on Sunday mornings, with periodic Friday evening games during the Fall/Winter season. Most teams will also practice once a week for the Fall/Winter season. Spring/Summer games may also include some mid-week evening games. Lack of practice field availability during this season usually precludes team practices. |
May I join the league mid-season? |
| Yes, however, it is subject to availability of space on a team. |
I have more questions, what should I do? |
| Click on the CONTACT US link on the Home Page. There you will see how to get in touch with our friendly Directors and Executive Members who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. |
Do I have to live on the North Shore to be able to JOIN this league? |
| Unfortunately our league is unable to accept new players who reside outside the North Shore, but there is an over 30s Division of the Women's Metro league in Vancouver, with further Divisions for different skill/experience levels.

The North Shore is defined in our league's constitution as the area from and including Whistler to Deep Cove. |
